My girls...

I always wondered how much alike my kids would look. Then I had Avery and Liam and they weren't that much alike. When Emrie was born, she didn't really look like newborn Avery. But now, they look ALOT alike. People say all the time that she's a copy of her sister. There are some differences, but as you can see they are very similar! Here are some recent pictures of Emrie and then some of Avery at similar ages..what do you think?

We are alive...

but not well. Avery has been running a fever of up to 104.5 since Friday evening. So, we've been inside trying to get her to drink, cleaning up puke, etc... Not so much fun. Hopefully it passes soon without the rest of us catching whatever it is.

On a lighter note, little miss Em decided she can roll over. It's pretty funny. She is getting too big too fast though.

Green

We had a very quiet St. Patrick's Day. Liam, Emrie, and I were at Grandma Nadine's all day. Avery had a fun day at school. Over spring break the Kindergarten class made leprechaun traps. She had help from some older friends, but hers turned out very cute. They were really creative. Avery said when they came back to their classroom from recess there were cookies out and green footprints everywhere. She was very excited.

Here are a few fun pictures we took during the day.

Avery loves holding Emrie. But she looks like she'd make a run for it if she could

cute girl after school

I'm loving her cute smile lately. My pediatrician finally gave me some medicine for acid reflux. She is seriously a different baby. She is much more content and happy, and much less messy. I think her little tummy always hurt before. Now, I just have to decide if it's worth the $50 copay!!

relaxing with grandma, who loves spending time with her. She especially loves her fat feet

Wedding Day

My baby brother LaRen got married this weekend. The youngest of eight children. It's crazy that he's all grown up and getting married. But, it was so much fun. He's always been his own person, very unique. He is so sweet, great with all his neices and nephews. He found a really nice girl that fits him perfectly. They bought an older house in historic downtown Phoenix. They have been working so hard on it. The back yard is beautiful. They decided to have the wedding there. Brave.. But, they were so laid back with everything that it wasn't even stressful, it was just fun. It was a beautiful day, they had lots of friends and family to celebrate with them. They said their own vows, it was really sweet and beautiful. I think it was just how they wanted it. They are relaxing in Hawaii right now...I'm so jealous! Here are some pics from the day.

LaRen and Brittany. Avery and my neice Kendi were the flower girls. They did a great job. Avery was over the moon excited to get to be a flower girl. It was a dream come true in her words.

This was Liam during the ceremony. He was really interested..

my happy Emrie getting loved on by aunt Kenra

sassy girls

I made him wear his hair down, I think it looks better down and loose than in the tight sumo ponytail he usually wears to church. The sun was right in our eyes, thus the squint.

Cody's Birthday

We recently celebrated Cody's birthday. He's the big "32" We had a nice, quiet day. We had dinner with his family the week before. So, we just hung out with the kids on Saturday. This is a cute birthday card that Avery made him. It's a picture of the "sand dunes", the very hot sun, and her daddy jumping huge! He loved it.

the inferno

the aftermath, we thought the smoke alarm was going to fire up but we were safe.

We went out to dinner at Carabba's. Emrie was our third wheel. She looked very cute, but was not a good date! Her daddy ate half his dinner alone because I had her outside.

Cody took the training wheels off Avery's bike. She was scared, but he was very patient. She's learning. She needs a little more confidence and practice, and she'll get it.

I think it was a fun day. Birthdays aren't such a big deal anymore. But we love quiet days with our kiddos. They are hard to come by sometimes. We love our daddy and hope he had a great birthday!

Lazy Days...

at Grandma Nadine's.

I am very blessed to be able to help take care of Cody's grandma. When I was pregnant with Avery, his grandpa had a heart attack and needed caretakers in his home. So, since Avery was a newborn I was able to take her with me and help take care of him. He died before her first birthday. But, since then we have been able to keep coming and spending time with grandma. It's my kids second home. She's getting older, and needs alot more help. So, it's sometimes challenging with her and Liam and Emrie. But I think it's an amazing gift that my kids get to spend so much time with their great grandmother. She loves having them around (she likes to aggrevate them) Sometimes I think I have two 3 year olds when her and Liam get into it. I snapped some pictures today of what goes on at her house.

Liam has been pushing the wheel chair all over the house today. What you can't see is that he's completely naked on the bottom. He went to the bathroom and didn't bother getting dressed. Totally typical Liam.

My little girl is 4 months old already. I can't believe how fast it's going. Grandma told me today that she changes every week. I think it's true.

She's getting so smiley, I love it!!

She was being ignored on the floor for a while this morning and decided to take a nap!

This was just a cute picture of Avery that I found on grandmas camera. She's at school, but she's still cute!
