Happy Birthday to Grandma

We took a quick trip to Utah last weekend to celebrate my grandma's 80th birthday. It was so much fun, and so many people! My grandma is an amazing woman who has built a huge, beautiful family.  She has seven children, forty grand children, and somewhere around sixty great granchildren at current count. And she remembers all of our birthdays! We each get a personal card from her every birthday. The handwriting is getting shakier, but the messages are as sweet as ever!

We took one giant picture while we were together (haven't seen it yet).  It was so fun to be together and tell stories, and remember all the fun times we have had as a family. It was fun to watch my kids playing in the same places I played as a kid, and getting to know their cousins that they don't get to see all the time.

We went to a few fun places that I haven't been to since I was a kid. This fun place is called Goblin Valley...
Avery thought it looked a little like Smurf village.  It's miles of sandstone structures to climb on and through and over.

The kids were in HEAVEN...Liam kept telling me it was the coolest place he'd ever been.

Avery is always good for a pose.

Emrie's favorite place to ride!

The fun group of people that went exploring with us....

there are a few fun caves to explore. Avery wasn't so sure at first, but she made it through with her daddies help

Some of the chaos while trying to take a group picture.

My cute little man and his sister love the dirt and rocks! Their daddy had had quite enough of it by this time!

Just realized we don't have pictures of grandma from this trip. I will find some and put them up. We love her and are so thankful to her for everything she has taught us, and the legacy she is building through all of us! We have made so many memories, and look forward to all of the ones we'll continue to make.

Did you see any goblins there? It seems like that generation are so much better at remembering birthdays, sending out cards, thankyou cards, or real mail in general I so wish I were better at it.
