More Easter Fun....

Easter is such a special time. We've been talking to the kids about what it really means. Somehow, when I'm teaching them things it makes me think about it even more. Something about simplifying things so they can understand, makes them mean even more to me. Avery's simple answer is that Jesus was resurrected so that we could be resurrected someday and live with him again...that pretty much says it all. I'm so thankful for my Savior, and I'm thankful to be a mom and that I'm able to teach my kids the things that are important to me.

Here is some more of our Easter Weekend. It was a fun, but pretty busy weekend. We had lunch and an egg hunt at my sisters Saturday afternoon. Then a fun BBQ and egg hunt with lots of ward friends on Saturday evening (thanks AuayFuays!). Church on Sunday, and Sunday dinner at Cody's parent (with another egg hunt of course!) My kids are on candy overload! I've been throwing it away since Sunday, and I'm still finding eggs full of candy all over the house! Here are lots of pictures in no particular order!

Cody's mom found matching outfits for the girls, they were very cute!

my girl is getting too big! (so are her cheeks!)

my two handsom men
dressed up for church ( I know, again with the matching outfits!)

Liams favorite things to find in the eggs were toys, not candy. So, next year NO CANDY!! Dollar store toys all the way!

me and my girls

Liam is full of SILLY lately, I seriously spend half my time laughing at the crazy things he says!
It was a nice weekend with friends and family. My house paid the price becuase we were only home long enough to mess it up. So, now I'm playing catch up as usual. But it was worth it!

Easter Eggs

We had a nice, busy Easter weekend. I had the pukes on Thursday night/Friday. So, thanks to Grandma Jane, Daddy, and Aunt Janelle my kids did get to color eggs on Friday. Janelle sent the pictures and stories.

Apparantly, Cody was quite competitive with his egg coloring skills. Competitive with his three and five year old! He had fun teasing and playing with them.

Liam wouldn't leave the eggs in the color very long. He'd dump it in and want it out. They tried to tell him that it worked better, and the color got darker if he'd leave it in longer. But typical Liam, he didn't believe them and had to do it his own way.

Avery loves anything artistic, or anything she can do with her Gammy. So, she was pretty happy. Janelle said she was being a nice big sister and helping Liam and giving him any color he wanted.

She's all about the details

Five Months...

My little girl is 5 months old! I can't tell you how much I love this sweet thing. She definately has been challenging. She was born with an opinion, and she knows what she wants. If you don't pay attention to her when she wants she lets you hear it.

She has the brightest eyes, and the sweetest smile. She has a habit of smiling at you when you aren't even looking. She loves her mommy, and I love her. She loves her brother, he can always get a smile out of her with his craziness.

She is officially on the move. She started rolling about a week ago, and now she is everywhere. I'm not ready for that.

I'm really happy right now because she only woke up once last night. I never thought she'd sleep through the night. She has been a much happier, and better smelling baby since my pediatrician gave me reflux medicine. I feel like I've been in a sleep deprived fog, but I think I'm coming out. She is so much fun, and definately completes our family.

Avery and Liam are doing great too. I can't believe Avery is almost done with Kindergarten. She has grown and changed so much. She is reading full books, can write anything. She loves to make up stories, and write them down with full illustrations. She loves her teacher, but I think she's ready for summer break. She's beautiful, and a great big sis.

Mr. Liam is always a fun handful. I've been amazed at how smart he is lately. He tells me the numbers on the clock, he reads the letters off of everything. He can write his name. The other night we were at the table and Avery was doing her homework. He saw some three letter words and started sounding them out. We were amazed, so we started testing him. He read dad, cat, sat, and a few others. It was funny!! He is sweet to his little sister, and loves to pester his big sister!
