We are off.....

Summer is funny to me. I always feel so busy during school and can't wait for summer so I don't have so many places to be or obligations. You moms know where I am going with this. Now, I'm ready for school to start! My kids have started bickering and fighting. Mostly because I can't possibly keep them entertained 24/7. My new answer for "I'm bored" is "come here, I'll find you something to clean!"  Doesn't work all that well.

Anyway...we are off for a family vacation. One like we have never done before. Cody is taking an entire month off! Which is unheard of. He's always connected to work, even if he isn't there. But we are going so far, he won't be able to be. We're going to Alaska for the whole month of July. Cody's grandparents have a house there. But it's being sold at the end of summer. So this will be our last lazy summer in the fun cabin.

We are going to relax, fish, BBQ (which is fun when it's 70 degrees outside, not 170!), read, build forts, play in the forest, go hiking, explore, and do it all together. Should be fun. All of Cody's brothers and families will be there for part of the time. We haven't all been together in a while. Should be interesting! and LOUD! 

I am trying to figure out how to pack for a month. I've decided, you can't. I'll just pack for a week and and we'll find there anything we forgot. I am NOT looking forward to the long plane trip with all of them. But, hopefully we'll get through that ok.

We'll miss everyone, and it will be time for school to start when we get back!!

no more preschool??

I am having a bit of a hard time believing that Liam will be in Kindergarten next year. This boy is super smart, and so ready to learn, learn, learn. But, he is a little boy. He doesn't even turn 5 until the end of July. Somehow he seems to small and young. I know he'll have fun.

He LOVED every minute of preschool. He had the best teacher ever, and I know he'll miss her. Graduation was crazy and these are the only pictures that were even somewhat in focus...

summer birthdays...

We recently had a chance to go to a sweet little girls birthday party. It was a luau/pool party. My kids couldn't be happier. Good friends, great food, and a pool!
